Andreessen Horowitz’s cryptocurrency group became the latest to beef up its regulatory expertise. The VC firm named Miles Jennings, previously a partner at law firm Latham & Watkins, as general counsel of its crypto team, citing his experience with crypto startups and regulators.
Adding new talent with extensive legal knowledge seems like a smart move as Andreessen Horowitz adds to its already massive investments in this space. The VC firm rolled out its $2.2 billion Crypto Fund III in June and just led a $20 million Series A funding round for Syndicate, which focuses on decentralized investing.
