Snap’s third-quarter financial results on Thursday will serve as a preview of how other internet companies are managing a pullback in ad spending and Apple’s disruptive privacy changes. Wall Street analysts see some signs of life, but warn that macroeconomic pressure persists.
The Snapchat parent company and other tech companies are also facing inflation, a looming recession and the continued war in Ukraine, as well as fierce competition from TikTok. “We do not believe the digital ad market headwinds are behind us, and we continue to expect decelerating growth over the back half of this year,” wrote analysts at MoffettNathanson in a note to investors.
