Katie Stanton is in high demand. The Moxxie Ventures founder and general partner has 2,007 unread emails and 530 unread texts on her phone. She’s “always” running down her battery and her voicemail message is “please don’t leave a message.” But Stanton, a Yahoo and Vivendi board member, who formerly worked for the U.S. Department of State under Obama, Google, Twitter and Color Genomics, and led early investments in companies including Cameo and Coinbase, makes sure to prioritize the important things. Namely her three college-age kids, elaborate Halloween decorations and walks with her “annoying but adorable” dog, Taco. Prior to her panel next week at the 2022 Makers Conference in Dana Point, Calif., Stanton shared her own technological habits, from FaceTimes to phone cases.
